Check Those Old Lottery Tickets—A $200,000 Prize Is Still Unclaimed
Got an old lottery ticket tucked away in your wallet, glove box, or junk drawer? It could be worth a serious amount of money.
The Texas Lottery says a $200,000 Texas Two Step winning ticket sold in Floresville is still unclaimed, and the deadline is quickly approaching.
The ticket, purchased at H-E-B Food Store 079 Convenience, 909 10th St. in Floresville, matched all five numbers from the March 9 drawing:
- White balls: 1, 2, 21, 23
- Bonus Ball: 19
- Prize: $200,000
⏰ Deadline Is Almost Here
The ticket officially expires Saturday, September 5. But since Texas Lottery claim centers are closed over the weekend, anyone claiming the prize in person must visit a claim center by 5 p.m. Friday, September 4.
Winners can also claim the money by mail. The original ticket and completed claim form must be postmarked by September 5 and mailed to the Texas Lottery's Austin Claim Center.
Mail-in claims can take up to four weeks to process.
Under Texas Lottery rules, prizes generally must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing. If nobody claims the money, the prize funds are returned to the state for programs approved by the Texas Legislature.
Floresville residents, now is the time to dig through those old tickets. One of them could be worth $200,000.
