A trip to a Columbus convenience store turned into a life-changing payday for one Georgia Lottery player.
A winning $3 million scratch-off ticket was sold at Marathon Food Mart, 5700 Warm Springs Road in Columbus, according to the Georgia Lottery. The ticket carried the game’s top prize of $3 million.
The winner claimed the prize on August 31 and opted for the lump-sum payment, receiving $1,546,986.
The lottery has not revealed the winner’s identity or shared details about when the ticket was purchased.

The big Columbus win wasn’t the only recent jackpot-style prize in Georgia.
