Georgia Lottery: Fayetteville Player Scores $1 Million Scratch-Off Prize

Georgia has another big lottery winner, and this time the lucky ticket was sold in Fayetteville.

The Georgia Lottery said a $1 million prize-winning 2nd Edition Billionaire Club scratch-off ticket was purchased Thursday at Fayette Village BP, located at 1408 Hwy. 54 West.

The winner chose the lump-sum cash option and will receive $535,398.06 before applicable taxes.

But Fayetteville wasn’t the only Georgia city celebrating a major win. A Dallas player also scored big Thursday, winning $1.5 million through the Cats Jackpot Diggi Game online.

Georgia has seen a steady run of seven-figure lottery prizes in recent months. Since August, reported scratch-off wins have included:

  • $4 million in Athens
  • $3 million in Liberty County and Thomaston
  • $2 million in Cumming and Warner Robins
  • $1 million in Augusta

The big prizes have continued into the past couple of weeks, too. A Georgia player recently won $1 million on Powerball, while another player hit a $1 million prize on the 50X The Money scratch-off in Flowery Branch.

With several million-dollar prizes already popping up across the state, Georgia lottery players have had plenty of reasons to check their tickets.
