Maryland Man Scores Another $50,000 Lottery Win in the Same Year
Talk about an incredible lucky streak! A Maryland man is celebrating after landing his second $50,000 lottery prize of the year, proving that lightning really can strike twice.
The Charles County resident has been playing the lottery for more than 20 years. While he mostly sticks with Multi-Match tickets, he also likes to mix things up with Bonus Match 5 games and scratch-off tickets from time to time.
His latest win came after buying a Bonus Match 5 ticket for the July 17 drawing at the Dash In store on Smallwood Drive in Waldorf. After the drawing, he scanned his ticket and saw a message that read, "Winner. See Retailer."
"As a longtime player, I knew that meant I had won something," he said. "I just didn't know how much."
When he brought the ticket to the counter, the store clerk confirmed the exciting news—he had won $50,000.
