A lucky Mississippi lottery player may have a $100,000 Powerball prize waiting to be claimed, while the Mississippi Lottery Corporation (MLC) has also delivered another major contribution to the state.
The MLC transferred $10,762,463.61 to Mississippi in August 2026, bringing its total contributions during the first two months of the fiscal year to $21,158,350.09.
Since lottery ticket sales began in November 2019, the Mississippi Lottery has now sent more than $839 million to the state.
Meanwhile, a Powerball ticket sold in Picayune is still waiting for its winner.
The ticket, purchased at Clark Oil Company 37, matched four of the five white-ball numbers in the September 9, 2026, drawing. The player also added the $1 Power Play option, doubling the original $50,000 prize to $100,000.
The big prize remains unclaimed. The MLC is urging the lucky ticket holder to check their ticket and claim the money.
