- $100 or less: Winners can claim their prize at any South Dakota Lottery retailer.
- $101 or more: The prize must be claimed through the South Dakota Lottery. Mail a completed claim form along with the signed winning ticket to the Lottery at 711 E. Wells Avenue, Pierre, SD 57501.
- Certain major prizes: Jackpot-winning Dakota Cash or Lotto America tickets, Lucky for Life top-prize tickets, and second-prize Powerball or Mega Millions tickets must be presented in person at a Lottery office.
- Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot: The winning ticket must be presented in person at the South Dakota Lottery office in Pierre.
