How to Claim a Vermont Lottery Prize
Got a winning ticket? The amount you win determines where you need to claim it.
- Up to $499: Claim at any authorized Vermont Lottery retailer or at Lottery Headquarters with your signed ticket.
- $500 to $5,000: Claims can be made at any M&T Bank location in Vermont during Lottery office business hours.
- More than $5,000: Winners must claim the prize in person at Vermont Lottery Headquarters.
For larger prizes, winners should bring a government-issued photo ID, signed winning ticket and completed claim form. All prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.

What Is Vermont Lottery Second Chance?
The Vermont Lottery's Second Chance program gives players another shot with eligible non-winning instant scratch tickets. Players can enter qualifying tickets for drawings that may offer cash or other prizes.
Entries are made through the Vermont Lottery's official website or app. Second Chance drawings are generally held quarterly or as part of special promotions, with drawings conducted at Pollard Banknote Limited in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
