A Maryland woman’s longtime lottery routine turned into a $150,000 payday after the numbers she had been playing for two decades finally delivered a huge win.
The White Plains resident has stuck with the same Bonus Match 5 numbers for 20 years. For one drawing, she decided to buy three tickets using those familiar digits at White Plains Wine & Spirits in White Plains.
When she checked the results, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Still unsure whether the tickets were really winners, she called her sister for a second opinion.
“First I had to call my sister to read the numbers,” she said. “I had to talk to someone who gambles.”
